Projects of the Kitchen House

  Shadowline & Shadowline 1
High Gloss Polyurethane Kitchen

By using streamlined cabinets we have created a clean modern feel. Incorporating brushed aluminium kickers and an engineered stone workbench this kitchen is elegant, functional & well organised. The neutral tones fill the room with light and the aluminium framed glass doors complete the picture of simplicity.

  Shadowline 2 & Shadowline 3
High Gloss Polyurethane Kitchen.

By using a larger island we have created a centre for the family to gather together. Ample storage means all the appliances are hidden until needed and the pull out aluminium framed glass pantry makes access a breeze.

Thick white box capping adds depth to the beige cabinets, while the corian ‘oyster’ workbenches with integrated sinks finish the feel of modern yet comfortable living.

  French Provincial
Haindpainted Solid Recycled Oregon Kitchen

Solid timber frames allow you to make a feature of the exposed hinges in this beautiful farmhouse kitchen. The distressed finish complements the handmade cabinetry while the wooden plateracks and chickenwire over the pantry give this look its country character. Seamless solid surfaces with an integrated sink finish off this classic look that will last you a lifetime.

  Edwardian
Handpainted Compressed Craftwood Kitchen

We’ve made a feature of the island with a contrasting timber benchtop. The glass doors on one double cabinet allow you to showcase your prized possessions while the stain resistant corian workbench gives you peace of mind. Functional, durable and timeless.

  Heritage listed Federation

When the owner of a heritage listed Federation home in Killara wanted a kitchen created in an old English style, she turned to The Kitchen House, who worked their magic to design a room that was in keeping with the theme of the home and also cater for a busy lifestyle, entertaining family and friends. A grand scaled kitchen lined with handpainted milk white cabinets capped with Bianco Romano granite benchtops and punctuated by a spectacular fireplace inspired cooking centre is the result.

The cooking centre, designed and constructed to add an Edwardian feel to the kitchen, was particularly special to the owner for displaying her collection of bowls and plates. The owner further emphasised the fireplace by arranging a country flower basket tile display splashback. The exquisite cabinets with Edwardian style doors are the result of framed-up construction, (framed-up construction is undertaken by fewer kitchen companies and involves the construction of the frame first, with the cupboard doors and drawers installed into the frame.)

A conveniently placed granite topped island bench contains handy storage baskets ensuring that fresh fruit and vegetables are readily on hand.

  French provincial feel

Capturing a French provincial feel within the city limits has resulted in a stunning kitchen by designer Robyn Green in collaboration with the owners. Robyn met the clients requirements with enthusiasm and style to produce an elegant country feel in a beautiful ' European inspired home.

A high ceiling space flanked by a formal sitting room on one side and a garden terrace on the other, was deserving of a magnificent kitchen. So Robyn took inspiration from the homes existing style to design a feature room that would also blend seamlessly into the flawless decor. From the kitchen the chef can look out over the sitting room and peer through the large arch window to the waterside vista beyond, or meander out through the French doors that lead off the kitchen onto the manicured garden terrace.

Back in the kitchen, the highest quality in cabinetry can be experienced, with custom-made solid recycled timber cupboards, drawers and dresser made in a framed-up construction revealing the pewter 'Brionne' hinges.
