At The Kitchen House we love the timeless classics. The word 'traditional' is a term that is used for many styles such as the Hamptons, Shaker, French Provincial and Edwardian. Our collection of beautifully hand-crafted cabinetry, with the emphasis on detail, incorporates the architectural features and elements from the 18th, 19th and 20th Century.
We create stunning custom-made kitchens that blend seamlessly into your style of home. Each kitchen design is defined by a classic panelled door and drawer front. These panels can have raised mouldings, glass inserts and carved corbels or keep it simple like the versatile Shaker and Hamptons style with no elaborate mouldings, just simple clean lines. Behind these panelled doors you can conceal your appliances such as integrated dishwashers and refrigerators, even washing machines and dryers.
Hand-painted finishes can come in an array of gorgeous colours. Traditionally, cabinetry was painted in warm tones of white, light greys, muted greens through to the dark greys and blues. In the 21st Century anything goes. The palette you can choose from is limitless. Using the combination of two different colours on the cabinetry, for example soft grey on the main section of the kitchen and a storm blue on the island cabinetry, will give your traditional kitchen more of a contemporary feel.
This relaxed yet stylish kitchen will never date. One of the key benefits of having hand-painted cabinetry is that you can always change the colour, repainting the kitchen to create a new look and feel. It is like having a brand new kitchen without having to pay for one.
Whether you like the classic traditional style or maybe prefer the traditional style with a modern twist, at The Kitchen House we can work closely with you to create a unique design that adds your personal touch to your kitchen.
